The Utmost Necessity
The dates for our next ‘Magic of India’ festival tour in Brazil have been confirmed for October 1 – November 7, 2011. Once again, we will flood Brazil with the nectar of the holy names on a grand scale. But it means for the first time in many years I won’t be in Vrindavan for Kartika. Though I will miss Vrindavan terribly, preaching is always the utmost necessity. I will serve and meditate on Vrindavan from a distance, and try to attract as many fallen souls as possible to the shelter of that transcendental abode.
“He who yearns to attain the sweetness of pure love in Vrindavan, but by destiny is forced to live elsewhere, laments and always remembers Vrindavan, beautiful with splendid groves where Sri Sri Radhika Krishna enjoy pastimes. He meditates on entering Vrindavan and thinks, ‘Now I am serving the divine couple.’”
[Srila Prabodhananda Sarasvati, Sri Vrindavan Mahimamrta, Sataka 1, text 75]
