As our harinama party went out to advertise our local festival programs around Brisbane we were warmly welcomed by the people. There’s a magic to samkirtan that brings out the best in everyone!

Byron Bay
Byron Bay is one of the most famous holiday resorts in all of Australia. Proud of it’s alternative life-style, it attracts young people from all over the world. Both our harinam parties and festival program were greatly appreciated there.
Australia Day
Australia Day is the country’s national day and a public holiday. It comes just at the end of summer and is a day of national pride for the Australian people who throng to the parks, beaches and cities for massive festivals. In Sydney we did a 4 hour harinam which was loved by one and [...]
Small Town Kirtans
As our 2-month visit to Sydney winds down we’re continuing with our kirtan parties around the suburbs. We have two more festivals to go. Seeing the reaction of the people on the streets, they might be our biggest yet.
Kirtan Cruise
On a beautiful Sunday morning over 100 devotees went for a kirtan cruise around Sydney harbor. After a lecture we chanted and danced in great bliss, as the boat passed by many of Sydney’s historic sites.
Just for Fun
We had some free time yesterday. So what did we do? We all went on harinam in downtown Sydney. We weren’t advertising any particular festival. Just having fun. And lots of it!
New Year’s Eve
One and a half million people turned out for fireworks down by the Sydney harbor and opera house on New Year’s Eve. Most came early to get a good vantage point. As they sat for hours, waiting for the midnight show, we weaved in and out of the crowd to their great delight.
Beach Town Kirtan
To advertise our upcoming festivals we did harinam in two coastal towns just north of Sydney. Mona Vale and Avalon are chic, high class towns with wealthy and affluent people. Like everyone, everywhere, they loved the kirtan of the holy names.
Final performance
Fantastic photo of our final performance at the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne. It’s from the front page of the South Asia Times. We’re throwing flowers into the air as we bow out. 3,500 people were in attendance.
Merry Krishna!
What better way to spend Christmas in Sydney than going to the beach to do harinama! We took our kirtan party along the boardwalk and people chanted and danced with us for hours.
